¶ Woocommerce
To connect to Retael we will create an API token in Woocommerce.
¶ Let's connect
- Login to your Woocommerce store
- Navigate to
Woocommerce > Settings
- Click the
Advancedtab
- Click the
REST APItab
- Click
Add key
- Provide a name for the key e.g.
Retaeland selectread/writein the dropdown
- Click
Generate API key - Open the Retael backoffice
- Navigate to Ecommerce platforms
- Select
Woocommerce
- Copy the Keys from Woocommerce
- Paste the keys
- Provide the URL to your shop
- Click
Connect, your shop should now be connected! - Don't forget to setup the order webhook, so that we are notified of new orders
¶ Setup order webhook
Retael needs to be informed of new orders in the woocommerce store. Setting up a webhook will make sure we are notified of new orders.
- Login to your Woocommerce store
- Navigate to
Woocommerce > Settings
- Click the
Advancedtab
- Click the
Webhooktab
- Click
Add Webhook
- Provide settings to create the webhook
| Setting | Description |

| Name | Provide a name for reference e.g "Retael Order Webhook" |
| Status | Set to Active |
| Topic | Select Order Updated |
| URL | Copy paste the API Webhook Address from Retael |
| Secret | Copy paste the API Webhook Secret from Retael |
| API version | Select WP REST API v3 |
Copy the secret and delivery address from the backoffice
- Click
Save webhook - You should now see your webhook created
A webhook will automatically deactivate if it was unable to deliver 5 messages in a row. If you see the webhook deactivated and no orders have appeared in your backoffice then please contact support
