¶ Marketplace
Now that you have set up your basic account information and connected your shop it is time to join a marketplace.
¶ Join a marketplace
- Navigate to Menu > Marketplaces > Marketplaces
- Select the marketplace that you are interested in. A
lockindicator means you will have to request access and be reviewed first by the marketplace.
- Review the marketplace information and see if this marketplace is a good fit for your products and brand.
- If the marketplace is locked you need to
Request Access. - When you have obtained access you can click
Setup Payoutand complete the KYC onboarding at the payment provider. This is required for you to receive payouts.
¶ Request access
A marketplace can be open to join or locked. In case its locked you need to request access. Somebody from the marketplace team will review your application and see if you are products and brand are a good fit for the marketplace. They will contact you via email.
¶ Know your customer check
When you click Setup Payout you will be redirected to the Payment provider platform to perform a Know Your Customer Check. This is a mandatory process for financial payment processors in order to battle things like criminal money laundering. Please complete this process in order to be able to payout any due orders. You can start the KYC check, abort and always come back to complete the process at a later time.
¶ Payouts
When an order is a placed for one of your products the money is held in reservation at the payment provider. When an order passes 30 days in 'escrow' it will be paid out. Any refunds in these 30 days will be refunded to the shopper and reversed from the reservation. In case the funds were already paid out and refunded after it means your account balance will be in the negative.
¶ Invoices
Every payout event all orders that were elligable for payout will be accrued in an invoice. For each order subsequent commissions are calculated and withheld.
